Saints struggled in their first post-split fixture as Hibs came away as comfortable winners at McDiarmid Park.
Hibs started the stronger of the two sides, with Emiliano Marcondes scoring after 6 minutes with a stunning free kick.
The Edinburgh club doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time with Paul Hanlon taking advantage with a scrappy finish in the box.
Dylan Vente confirmed a comfortable three points for Hibs with just 14 minutes remaining.
Benji Kimpioka scored a late consolation for Saints as he got on the end of a Luke Robinson cross.
Saints remain in tenth place in the cinch Premiership with 31 points, just one point clear of eleventh placed Ross County who lost 2-0 away at Livingston.
