31-year-old man jailed for 18 months for shoplifting offences

A 31-year-old man has been jailed for 18 months for shoplifting offences in Perth

Martin Blyth was sentenced Perth Sheriff Court on Friday, 12 April, 2024 after he committed a series of shop lifting offences in retail stores in the city over a period of six months in 2023.
 
Inspector Stephen Gray of Perth Police Station said: “During his crime spree Blyth committed multiple shop lifting offences daily. His offending caused significant financial loss for these stores.
 
“This will not be tolerated and anyone who has any concerns about thefts from supermarkets or shops in Tayside, they should contact Police Scotland on 101.”
