More Information (Heartland FM is not responsible for external websites)
‘The Polar Bears of Perth’ is a 15-minute documentary that uses objects in local collections to explore the relationship between humans and polar bears.
Help Perth Museum power a new film using only pedal-power – a truly transformative source of renewable energy! Create energy, exercise, craft, and learn about art and ecology all at the same time with researchers from the Open University. Images of polar bears are often used today to symbolise the climate crisis – but how and why have artists represented polar bears in the past?
Can you imagine if there were polar bears living in Perth! Work together to design a space in which polar bears could live and thrive here today. Using your imagination and creativity as a guide and artworks from Scottish collections as your inspiration.
